DigiSkill: International Business Etiquette and Protocol

We warmly invite you to join an online dialogue organized within the DigiSkill project, supported by the Erasmus+ program, on the topic:

🌍 International Business Etiquette and Protocol 🌍

In today’s globalized world, the ability to communicate and collaborate across cultures is key to success in the international environment. Understanding cultural differences in business communication, etiquette, and professional behavior helps build trust, respect, and long-lasting relationships.

This interactive dialogue will focus on how business etiquette differs across countries, which principles to follow in international meetings, and how to avoid cultural misunderstandings. Participants will learn how to effectively represent themselves and their organizations in a multicultural context and how to approach different professional practices with respect.

🎓 Guest Speaker: Jana Burzyková

Jana is student of international law and technology, Czech Republic representative in the Danube Youth Council for the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, and supporter of mentoring and women’s leadership.

Jana is currently pursuing an LL.M. Law and Technology program at Tilburg University in the Netherlands, focusing on digital ethics, data protection, and artificial intelligence regulation. She earned her bachelor’s degree in LL.B. Global Law at the same university, gaining a deep understanding of different legal systems and their impact on international cooperation and justice.

For over three years, she has represented the Czech Republic in the Danube Youth Council, an advisory body of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), bringing the perspective of the younger generation into European structures and contributing to regional policy development. She has also gained experience in Vienna as an Evaluation Officer Support at the Danube Strategy Point and in Nice, France, as an IVY Reporter for the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP), where she focused on project coordination, analysis, and strategic communication.

Jana is interested in innovative approaches to law, the intersection of technology and social responsibility, fostering intergenerational collaboration and mentoring, and promoting women’s participation in public life.

This dialogue is intended for young adults aged 18 to 30, particularly those interested in intercultural learning, youth cooperation, and international collaboration. The DigiSkill project connects participants from Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Portugal, with a focus on developing both intercultural and digital competences.
